In my woodturning practice, I use fine hardwoods to explore the interplay between form, texture, light, and shadow.
Most of my material, locally sourced, comes from trees that have fallen to storms, suburban development, and the chain saw.
It is gratifying to salvage such finely figured and colored material, then purpose it into artwork that adds a stunning visual element to its surroundings in the home.
