Chris McMurry
Christopher McMurry balances the line between abstract and realism, expressionism and minimalism in his portraits. Each creation is an act of self care, restoration and celebration. This series of work is focused on humanity, freedom and restitution through unapologetic creative expression using a variety of mediums including acrylic, ink, pencil and crayon. Paint is applied from a variety of methods, pallet knife, scraping and a brush. Christopher incorporates asemic writing and mark making in his art. His work includes vivid colors as well as minimal black and white pieces with intersecting lines and abstract shapes.
