My painterly work is an expression of my deep connection with and respect towards nature and animals. Wild life and nature have always held my fascination since I was a child, capturing my curiosity at a personal and aesthetic level.
While my style continues to evolve over time, certain interests and techniques prevail, such as my use of palette knives to create bold paint strokes and my preference for a color scheme that privileges contrast and bright colors. Rather than aiming for realism, I focus on the most important traits of the subject at hand to reveal a lively aspect of it, whether I am painting an animal, a landscape or a portrait. The result is a very interesting play of color, contrast (both light/dark and warm/cold) and texture.
