This is a challenging time. We are being threatened by a very dark political climate that is threatening every aspect of our life; how we define ourselves; how we survive as a people, as an animal kingdom, and as a sustainable planet. This is also a time when we see minorities and marginalized groups rising up to make our voices heard. The very act of creating something gives rise to voice, a voice that can be heard, seen or felt. I and we can vote to be present by the act of creating and by doing so dissolve the darkness that wants to silence us; creating thus helps heal and nourish the soul. I speak from a place deep inside myself to paint something that is true and that hopefully is felt by those who view my work. My desire is that my work helps those who experience it have hope for the future. We can all create in our own way. We are all artists!
