David Friedman

Most of my current work is original papercuttings cut with x-acto knives and scalpels by hand using Canson Mi-Teintes pastel papers. Black paper is laminated with colored papers on the reverse side and then the finished papercutting is mounted with wood stilts so that the colors reflect back onto the light matte board. I also do a great deal of drawing and painting…many of which end up as studies for my papercutting work.
