I create with my life. I love to create understanding and excitement about the arts in my students. I covet my studio time and am constantly in the midst of trying to find the balance of all these important people and creative places in my life.
My painting considers the conversation of finding the divine voice within nature. There is so much to hear if we will take time to be still and listen to the words and voice in nature. I recently read a quote, " It is difficult for me to speak, so I paint instead." The days of sitting in a tree reading a book and eating my lunch, are a treasure of my childhood, deeply reflected in my painting as an adult. My current work, Fractured Places, considers the Duplexity of our life's moments.
