July 2019 Stories

July Artist Highlights

First time participating artist/photographer Pepe Moscoso (Studio #105) is opening a beautiful new studio-gallery space, under his moniker "The Blind Insect", at 2841 NE Alberta!  The grand opening is July 24 & 25th, and there will be live Latino music and the original artwork of Jeannie Lynn Paske. The Blind Insect is a multicultural Art Gallery that represents the artwork of people of color and any local artist or crafter. He features his own work, and the work of local artists like William Hernandez (Studio #28), and others. The gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday 11-5. He's right down the street from Guardino Gallery, stop by to visit him!  You can also see his work at his website

Participating Artist/sculptor Dave Haslett (Studio #81) was honored in a dedication on June 26th for installing this large work, Moon Over Lake Oswego, installed in the city's gallery without walls (specifically, 5285 Kruse Way, Lake Oswego, Oregon).   The sculpture was gifted to the Arts Council of Lake Oswego from Ed and Joann Frankel.  You can read more about it in the Lake Oswego Review.
