My approach to the art of woodwork and furniture is deeply rooted in a philosophy that highlights the stories inherent in materials and the intimate dialogues they enable within our spaces. Living and working in the Pacific Northwest has instilled in me a profound connection to our local environment. The woods I choose - white oak, walnut, and Douglas fir - are not just materials; they are echoes of the forests that define this region. They carry within them stories of growth, resilience, and the cyclical nature of life. My designs aim to honor these stories, bringing pieces of the natural world into the spaces we inhabit and fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural beauty that surrounds us.
