Nancy Larson
As an artist based in Portland, Oregon, my work primarily focuses on the landscape. I am fascinated by the connection between place and memory, and draw inspiration from my own childhood experiences during road trips along the west coast. My paintings seek to capture the essence of these places, while also evoking nostalgia and emotion within the viewer. Through the use of both vibrant and subtle color and a sense of openness in my compositions, I strive to convey the vastness, beauty and complexity of the natural world around us. By bringing my own personal memories, emotions, and sensations into my work, I hope to create a deeper connection between the viewer and the places that have shaped me as an artist.
