Plastorm

Plastorm is the pseudonym of self-taught mixed-media artist, Robert B. Fortney. He has no formal art education and couldn't draw a straight line if he tried. His breakthrough revelation? Gathering enough courage and confidence to - not draw - creatively.

A visit to Plastorm Studios is a quintessential Portland experience. Half art studio and half one-man theme-park from another world -- visitors will be able to experience a unique two-pronged backstage tour of both a working art studio (where Plastorm creates a consistent multitude of mixed media paintings and wood cuts) and Portland's now-famed Robot Alley (located behind his studio). Featured in countless magazines, newspapers, TV interviews, and the 2020 Weird Homes Tour, Robot Alley showcases Plastorm's evolving stable of self-built interactive robots, probe droids, bounty hunters, and stormtroopers.
