Emily Pratt was born and raised in Syracuse, NY before living in New Mexico and moving to her forever home Portland, Oregon in 1998. Inspired by the beauty of vintage tins and rusty treasures she began hand cutting tins and creating metal collage on wood.
Emily has had a number of art shows in the area, including work at Gallery 114, Side Street Gallery, The Lake Oswego Arts Council and the Second Story Gallery in Camas. Along with maintaining her creative practice, Emily is a full time High School Visual Arts educator for Portland Public Schools.
"My work reflects a curiosity for weathered objects and environments. I am inspired by the process of finding and transforming tins and other weathered materials into two-dimensional art. |
